Has stepped up and offered to help me maintain the uploads to this account. I can not tell you what a help this will be. If you all wanted to do me a favor equal to the one he's doing me, you could take a second and give him some deviation love.

This means you'll be seeing more work from me more often and in the meantime, there may be a flood of work from me as we play catch up.

We're almost 70 days into the 365 project and though I've missed a bunch, there are still a ton of images to get up here.  

I will still see all of my comments and faves. Though it may take me a few weeks to respond to them, I assure you I will still be commenting and responding personally. Unless of course you're receiving notes form me about that one time with the lawn gnome and the peach flavored lube. Obviously, that's not me and I'll have to visit Mr. Smooth in his sleep.

I appreciate everyone's support, and look forward to having more time to interact with the community here.

I am seriously considering delegating updates of my DA account to someone else. I'm just too busy to keep up with it right now.

I love DA, I love the community here, but uploading photos is such a cumbersome process and I always get sucked into looking at everyone else's work that I never get enough of my own work accomplished, so I'm discovering that I avoid DA like the plague when I'm busy.

This creates inconsistencies in my online presence.

If there is a way for me to upload multiple items at once, or upload via client, let me know. Or if someone on my flist is interested in undertaking the task of uploading my new work for me, let me know.

Yeah, I know, I'm late. The project actually began on time, I just haven't had time to post anything about it over here yet.

I'm very excited about this project, I think it's going to be an amazing learning experience for me, and I hope enjoyable for you, my lovely voyeurs.

I set some mildly complicated, but I think intriguing goals for myself for 2010. I have 12 processing styles or content themes laid out for the year. Each month I will explore a specific style of processing, specific format, OR create images with a common content theme. The idea is to expand my knowledge of processes and styles that I don't typically work in, improve my technical abilities, create more consistency in my work, as well as see the world around me with a much more diverse eye. I'm very much looking forward to revisiting images that may have been moodily discarded previously and giving them new life this way, as well as shooting images specifically with a theme in mind.

We're beginning in January simply with Black and White. I have a deep love for b&w but have not spent much time at all working in that style. My initial photography schooling began in a black and white film class nearly a decade ago, and it seemed appropriate to begin there.

League of S.T.E.A.M.

My DD cherry has been popped and I owe much of it to 5 amazing members of the League of S.T.E.A.M. I know most of you are probably sick of hearing about them already, but I really can't say enough times what a pleasure it was to work with them, what a great bunch of people they are, how inspired their costumes, equipment, props and creativity are, and how much I'm looking forward to meeting the rest of the team the next time I'm in SoCal.

Some bonus info about the shot. This was actually a really serendipitous moment during the shoot. We had been scouting specific areas and backdrops to shoot in and around. So, the team was milling about off in what would be the background of this shot, and I snuck out past them a bit, started walking backwards, and began snapping candid shots. As soon as they'd realized what I was up to, they walked toward me, falling into line perfectly and landed in this fantastic action group pose.
